You’re only as good as your last job.

But you can still love work you did before. The work I did before.

You get it.

Telkom Business

A 60" information filled TVC that I did for Telkom. Wall to wall details about the product, yet we somehow found some time for a smile.

CDH Pitchwork

CDH 2.jpg

A series of print ads created for a winning pitch on the Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr account (one of the big law firms). They didn’t want traditional pitch work, but rather asked we show them what we could do with the sort of stuff they usually do: the brag ad.

Cadbury Tumbles

Cadbury wanted to reposition Tumbles from a treat mothers give to their children, to a guys’ snack food. After presenting them a couple of buckets of ideas, they went with a Rube Goldberg machine - by far the most complicated to pull off. I like it. But then, it’s basically advertising to me.

Client Notebooks

For Christmas/New Year’s gifts to clients, Switch TTL decided to create a personalised notebook for each major contact. They’d be done in the style of a business help book, with titles and topics that reflected the person’s job and identity. The plan was that they would use the notebooks in meetings with their peers, and possibly create new contacts for Switch.

There were 21 books in total, but this is my favourite. I like the title.

 Lifestyle Invisible Pads

It shouldn’t work. Two baby, and male, creatives pitching print ads about naked women for sanitary pads is just the dumbest idea. Yet the client (not a guy) loved it. And bought it. And ran it for three years. Madness.
